The Best Dog for Me was born from the belief that
the puppy stage doesn’t have to be chaotic.
It was built on the foundation that with the right guidance, puppy hood can actually be one of the most rewarding, confidence building seasons puppies and their families. What started as a way to support local families with their new puppies has grown into a full-blown puppy kindergarten program with structure, heart and lasting impact. We serve busy, intentional families who want a well-prepared puppy and who value thoughtful training that actually works in real life.
My approach to training is rooted in connection, communication and consistency.
I use a balance of positive reinforcement, clear boundaries and gentle correction to build your puppy’s trust, focus and confidence without fear or frustration. We focus on helping your puppy understand what to do rather than just being told what not to do and we shape behaviors that actually hold up in real-life family settings. Every puppy is different and we meet them (and you!) where you are.

a professional puppy trainer, puppy nursery manager, business owner and mom to a big, busy crew of kids and dogs.
I’ve always been drawn to structure, communication and understanding behavior, both canine and human. I am deeply passionate about helping new dog owners feel confident, equipped and connected from day one. With years of hands-on experience raising and training puppies in a real home environment (yep! Our house runs on routines, puppy schedules and coffee), I’ve built a system that’s as personal as it is practical. When I’m not training puppies, I’m likely planning our next family adventure, needing out over dog behavior books or soaking up the southern Cali sun like a lizard!
